October 16, 2007 - ROCHESTER, NY - Performance Technologies (NASDAQ: PTIX), a leading developer of communication platforms and systems, today announced the availability of its newest member of the company's AdvancedMC™ product line - the AMC141. Designed for embedded system applications in telecommunications, aerospace and defense, commercial, and industrial systems, the AMC141 utilizes the P.A. Semi™ high-performance, lower power PWRficient™ processor to deliver a next generation, Power Architecture-based solution.

The AMC141 meets a growing demand for new, innovative embedded processing solutions where low power consumption is combined with high-performance for today's compute-intensive communication and network products. P.A. Semi's PWRficient PA6T-1682 high-performance, dual-core 2 GHz platform processor features two DDR2 memory controllers, 2MB of L2 cache, and a flexible I/O subsystem that provides a versatile processing platform for high-performance computing and embedded applications.
